Frequently Asked Questions
At Frame & Flask, we believe every event should feel seamless, memorable, and uniquely yours. As a boutique company co-founded by Nick Edwards and Alexyss Coles, we combine years of hospitality, photography, and culinary experience with a high-touch, curated approach. Here are answers to the most common questions clients ask before booking.
-
General
Q: What makes Frame & Flask different from other event companies?
A: Unlike traditional planners or catering services, we bring everything under one brand: luxury event coordination, private chef dinners, mobile bartending, and professional photography. This means fewer moving parts for you—one creative team handles the details, flow, food, drinks, and memories.Q: Where do you provide services?
A: We’re based in Morgantown, WV and regularly serve clients throughout West Virginia, Western Maryland (Deep Creek), Southern Pennsylvania, Eastern Ohio, and Pittsburgh. We also accept select destination events nationwide.Q: Who will I be working with?
A: You’ll work directly with Alexyss and Nick. Alexyss is your lead for communication, coordination, and bartending, while Nick manages photography, chef experiences, and behind-the-scenes operations. Both of us are owners, so your event always has our full attention. -
Bartending & Beverage
Q: Do you provide the alcohol?
A: We do not sell alcohol due to state regulations, but we’ll guide you with a personalized shopping list and can help source specialty items. Once it’s in your hands, our team takes care of everything else: mixing, serving, garnishing, and styling the bar.Q: Do you offer non-alcoholic experiences?
A: Yes! All of our bar packages can be transformed into “dry bar” mocktail menus, giving your event the same artistry and atmosphere without the alcohol. We create complex flavors with syrups, infusions, fresh fruit, and house recipes.Q: Can you create signature cocktails for my event?
A: Absolutely. We specialize in building personalized cocktails/mocktails named for you, your wedding, or your brand. These recipes can even be shared later with your guests as part of your keepsake package. -
Private Chef
Q: What’s the style of your menus?
A: Our food blends Southern heritage, fresh coastal influences, and gourmet refinement. You’ll see menus featuring seafood, scratch-made pasta sauces, farm-fresh vegetables, and creative flavor pairings.Q: Do you use fresh ingredients?
A: Yes. We prioritize fresh, seasonal produce and proteins. For us, that means hand-selecting ingredients like fresh green beans, herbs, and seafood alternatives where needed.Q: How do you handle dietary restrictions?
A: Every event includes a pre-planning session where we collect guest dietary needs. Whether it’s gluten-free, vegetarian, allergy-sensitive, or kid-friendly, we design inclusive menus that ensure no one is left out. -
Photography
Q: What photography services do you offer?
A: Our photography covers weddings, portraits, branding, private events, concerts, and fine-art wildlife. Nick is especially known for capturing candid storytelling moments, editorial-inspired compositions, and wildlife images that bring natural beauty to life.Q: What’s your style?
A: Expect a mix of documentary storytelling and curated editorial detail. We love images with soft backgrounds, balanced composition, and true-to-life tones.Q: How are photos delivered?
A: You’ll receive a private online gallery with full-resolution downloads, shareable links, and options for prints, canvases, or luxury albums. -
Coordination & Events
Q: What types of events do you coordinate?
A: Weddings, birthdays, corporate events, private dinners, and pop-up gatherings. Our Day-of Coordination ensures your event flows flawlessly without you having to manage a thing.Q: Do you work with outside vendors?
A: Yes—we have a curated vendor network (florists, salons, officiants, etc.) and can either recommend or collaborate with your chosen team. -
Booking & Policies
Q: How do your pricing and packages work?
A: Every event is unique, so we build custom packages based on your vision, guest count, and services booked. Whether you’re reserving one service or combining photography, bartending, and chef experiences, we provide a clear proposal so you know exactly what’s included.Q: How far in advance should I book?
A: For weddings and large events, we recommend booking 6–12 months in advance. Smaller dinners, portraits, or bar services can often be accommodated on shorter notice, depending on availability.Q: Do you travel?
A: Yes—we regularly serve West Virginia, Western Maryland, Southern Pennsylvania, Eastern Ohio, and Pittsburgh, and are available for destination events nationwide. Travel fees apply outside our primary region.Q: What’s your cancellation policy?
A: All retainers are non-refundable. Cancellations made within 30 days of the event may incur additional fees depending on services booked and preparation already completed. -
